Since making Durango her home in the late 1990s, Laura Addington has leveraged nearly four decades of elite financial expertise to support the local community. Originally from Wyoming, Laura honed her professional skills in Dallas before settling in Southwest Colorado with her husband, John Marinan. She holds a Master of Science in Financial Services from the American College and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).

Laura’s professional accolades are distinguished; she was notably recognized by Money Magazine and the Financial Planning Association as one of the top 80 financial planners in the United States. Beyond her private practice, she contributes her leadership to numerous industry boards and national task forces, staying at the forefront of financial strategy.

At the heart of Laura’s work is a mission to empower others—specifically women—to achieve true financial independence. She views financial literacy as a vital tool for personal freedom. When she isn’t advocating for her clients, Laura fully embraces the mountain lifestyle, skiing, paddleboarding, golfing, or hiking with her two Australian Shepherds, Ruby and Carl.
