Women's Foundation of Colorado seeks volunteers for regional committee:
The Women's Foundation of Colorado
seeks women and girls from La Plata, Montezuma, and Archuleta counties
to serve on its regional steerting committee for Southwest Colorado.
The committee coordinates educational opportunities in the area and
provides input to the foundation on the needs of women and girls in the
region. Meetings usually are scheduled each quarter and are held in the
early morning at Christina's Bar and Grill. Contact Mandy Mikulencak at

Signature Salon seeks to fill the following positions:
- Spa attendant for laundry, cleaning and restocking.
- Front desk help for cashiering, answering phones, scheduling appointments.
- Assistant manager to schedule employee hours, manage employeees, opens and closes salon, oversees operations.
- Massage technicians
- Estheticians
- Stylists

SASO seeks volunteers for prevention education
The Sexual Assault Services
Organization seeks volunteers interested in providing educational
workshops to school-aged children about issues of safety and
intervention to prevent sexual violence. Volunteers will be trained to
empower elementary children to assert their rights to be "Safe, Strong
and Free!" Volunteers also will learn how to talk with teens about
intervening in situations when sexual violence becomes a threat. Call

SASO seeks hotline advocates
The
Sexual Assault Services Organization seeks volunteers interested
serving as a hotline advocate for victims/survivors of sexual assault.
Volunteers will learn how to empower survivors, offer hope and healing,
provide expert guidance, and support survivors in a time of crisis.
Training begins Oct. 2. Call 259-3074.
