Business Women's Network

Colorquest Graphics hosts May's Business Women's Network meeting at their office. The topic of the evening will be "Marketing Your Image: The Importance of Quality and Consistency." Business Women's Network offers informal networking opportunities for women, whether you work for someone else, are self-employed, or own a business. Refreshments will be served. Pro Se Divorce Seminars

If you are filing for your own divorce and need assistance filling out the papers, come to a free, Pro Se Divorce Seminar cosponsored by WRC, Colorado Legal Services, the Southwest Colorado Bar Association, and Southwest Colorado Volunteer Legal Aid. Women's Reading Circle

The Women's Reading Circle will discuss Voodoo Queen: The Spirited Lives of Marie Laveau," by Martha Wood. The Reading Circle meets monthly and the format is 10-15 minutes of socializing followed by a facilitated book discussion. Participants of the Reading Circle receive discounts on the group's book selections at Maria's Bookshop in Durango. There is no fee to join the Women's Reading Circle! View all books for 2008.

WRC Writer's Group

WRC's second writing group, "The Wild Women Writing," meets on the last Wednesday of each month, and is open to both published and unpublished writers who are interested in fiction, nonfiction, journaling, screenwriting, poetry or another format. The Writer's Group offers a safe environment to share ideas, create and read original compositions, and receive kind, constructive feedback. There is no fee to join the WRC Writer's Group! June 2008 Activities

WRC's Eighth Annual "Men Who Grill" Fundraiser
Saturday, June 7, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., 12th Street and Main Ave, Durango
WRC's eighth annual Men Who Grill will feature the Kirk James Blues Band and all you can eat BBQ! The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for kids in advance, and $20 for adults the day of the event (kids under 5 get in free). Admission includes tastes from all the grill teams, soda and bottled water.
